Amor Fati.
Last year I had at one point a short Nietzsche phase, I read a couple of his works. And there was this concept, central to his philosophy, that I found truly amazing: “amor fati”. It’s Latin for “Love of fate” and it reffers to ecstatically accepting everything that happens in your life: the good and the bad, the mistakes and the wise decisions, accepting them all with the same joy. It’s basically a refuse to regret and retouch the past, it’s about wanting nothing to be different. It’s an idea we all need to quiet the worried mind when it won’t let us sleep at night, a large YES to the whole of life. It’s what Nietzsche called “my formula for greatness in a human being” 🖤
